Access and reading help

A reading can begin with a small difference.

Start with the typographical correction. Earlier words are marked as removals; their replacements are marked as insertions. The explicit change list conveys the same comparison in words.

After the introduction, the six investigations can be entered in any order. Each recovers a reading instrument used on the seven numbered carrier lines at the front. You can enter a known reading directly. There is no purchase, account, second reader, or penalty for consulting hints.

Marginal notes

Each investigation has an observation note and a more direct method note. Open them deliberately when you need them. The author’s full solution pack is not served by this preview.

Keyboard and non-audio reading

Use Tab to move between controls. The Wing Atlas lists barred windows in a table. Letter ordering has Move up and Move down controls. The Borrowed Page provides letters, coordinates, and directed edges. The silent signal’s frequencies and alignment measure come from the same PCM that is played.

Keep your copy

Save passages from their source and annotate them in Reader’s Copy. Notes preserve the original quotation and witness. Export before clearing storage or leaving a session that cannot be saved.

Print and reduced motion

Use the manuscript print controls or browser Print. System reduced-motion preferences are respected; a local override is available in Reader’s Copy.
